The Reconstruction Estimator is responsible for performing site inspections, documenting losses with accurate measurements, notes and photographs with strong attention to detail; estimating the reconstruction costs of the entire project using Xactimate; negotiating reconstruction costs with insurance carrier representatives; communicating with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator on issues that will affect the project schedule and/or budget, and maintaining exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to requests for services and serve as liaison between the company and the client
• Use Xactimate software to estimate residential and commercial water, fire, wind and mold reconstruction projects
• Provide proposals for property work to be performed
• Negotiate restoration services and insurance claim settlements
• Ensure all estimates comply with profitability and timeliness requirements set by the company

• Coordinate work with production team to ensure seamless transitions from estimate to project completion
• Resolve cost discrepancies by coordinating and updating estimates
• Attend all appropriate company meetings and sponsored training sessions

Requirements:

• Relevant experience as an estimator, within the restoration/ construction industry
• Knowledge of construction/reconstruction is a must
• Knowledge of Xactimate is a strongly preferred
• Must be adept with technology to learn company systems and software
• Possess exceptional organizational and planning skills (detail-oriented person)
• Ability to recognize and solve problems independently
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, responsible and accountable
• Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record
