The Reconstruction Estimator is responsible for performing site inspections, documenting losses with accurate measurements, notes and photographs with strong attention to detail; estimating the cost of reconstruction of the entire project using Xactimate; negotiating reconstruction costs with insurance carrier representatives; communicating with the Project Manager on issues that will affect the project schedule and/or budget, and maintaining exceptional customer service.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary: $65K+ (DOE)

Responsibilities:

• Respond to requests for services and serve as a salesperson and liaison for the company
• Use Xactimate software to estimate residential and commercial water, fire, wind and mold restoration and reconstruction projects
• Ensure all estimates comply with insurance company and TPA requirements
• Provide proposals for property work to be performed
• Negotiate restoration services and insurance claim settlements
• Ensure all estimates comply with profitability and timeliness requirements set by the company
• Get Work Authorization contract signed by customers before beginning work

• Coordinate work with production team to ensure seamless transitions from estimate to project completion
• Coordinate and update estimates with all hidden damage updates, revisions, change orders and supplements, and coordinate with the adjuster
• Assist in generating additional business referrals by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with property owners and insurance representatives
• Attend all appropriate company meetings to keep projects running smoothly

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ relevant experience as an estimator, within the restoration/ construction industry, preferred
• Knowledge of construction/reconstruction is a must
• Knowledge of Xactimate is a plus, however company will provide training
• Must be adept with technology to learn company systems and software
• Possess exceptional organizational and planning skills (detail-oriented person)
• Enthusiastic, persuasive and sale/service oriented with a growth mindset
• Ability to recognize and solve problems independently
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, responsible and accountable
• Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record
